Contractor and jobsite tech support

Construction, Contractor & Jobsite Tech Support

A site office needs to send plans, print paperwork and stay in touch with the field. We troubleshoot ordinary office technology at an approved work area; construction wiring, electrical work and safety systems stay with the responsible trades.

Common problems

  • The site office connection is unreliable for laptops or tablets.
  • Printing or scanning breaks the handoff between field and office.
  • Equipment has moved to another site and needs reconnecting.

What the visit can include

  • Confirm site access, working conditions and who may authorize changes.
  • Test the reported connection or device problem in the approved area.
  • Identify work that needs an ISP, equipment vendor or licensed trade.

Ongoing support options

  • Keep a setup record for equipment that moves between projects.
  • Schedule reconnects or reviews around approved site access.
  • Scope each site's cabling, mounting and support needs separately.

Before the visit

Decide who can approve the work.

Have an authorized contact available. The visit covers only the agreed equipment and work.

Keep blueprints, private project files, gate/access codes, alarm codes, credentials, payment data, or camera footage out of forms/text.
Licensed electrical, permitted low-voltage, fire/life-safety, gate/access-control, alarm, and building-system work stays with the proper trade, vendor, owner, or authority.
Camera, cabling, mounting, ladder, exterior, rooftop, conduit, trenching, lift, and after-hours work must be scoped and quoted before work starts.

Booking and follow-up

Tell us what needs to work.

Describe the task you cannot complete and when the problem happens. We will confirm the visit scope and price. Any larger project or care plan needs separate approval.

Can Tech Genie help with a jobsite trailer or temporary office?

Often, yes. Tech Genie can review Wi‑Fi, printers, tablets, cameras, computers, and small network gear for a trailer or temporary office, then document what needs a quote, vendor, ISP, electrician, or low-voltage contractor.

Can Tech Genie run construction cabling or safety-system wiring?

Not as an unscoped promise. Network/camera/cabling work depends on access, height, routing, code, permitting, licensing, and site safety. Electrical, fire/life-safety, alarm, gate/access-control, and permitted low-voltage work stays with the appropriate licensed/vendor team.
