Unexpected caller or popup? Stop.

Use this app only after you contact Tech Genie. We never contact you unexpectedly to install it, and we never ask for gift cards, cryptocurrency, or banking access.

If a call or connection does not match what you arranged, stop and call (818) 922-5157 directly.

How it works

Remote support in three simple steps.

  1. 1

    Book a time

Tell us which computer you have and what is going wrong.

  2. 2

    Confirm the price

We make sure remote support is a good fit and agree on the price before connecting.

  3. 3

    Connect securely

Open the support app during your appointment, approve the connection, and stay at the computer while we work.

Common remote requests

Useful help when the computer still turns on and connects.

Slow or misbehaving Windows PC

Startup, updates, storage, suspicious apps, and the next sensible repair step.

Printer or scanner trouble

Queues, drivers, scan setup, and network reachability when the hardware is online.

Popups or scam concerns

Careful triage of fake alerts, browser behavior, and suspicious remote-access tools.

Computer Wi-Fi problems

Adapter, IP, DNS, and gateway clues before deciding whether the router needs a visit.

Remote support works well for

Choose remote help when these are true.

  • The computer reaches a usable desktop and has a reliable internet connection.
  • The customer or an authorized user can stay at the computer for the entire session.
  • The issue is software, settings, a printer workflow, popups, or diagnosis that does not require physical repair.

Better on-site

Choose a visit when hands-on work is unavoidable.

  • The computer will not boot, cannot get online, loses power, or may have failing hardware.
  • The job needs parts, disassembly, data recovery, wiring, mounting, camera placement, or a Wi-Fi walk test.
  • There is account-ownership uncertainty or an active bank, fraud, or personal-safety emergency.

Your live session

Secure remote help while you stay in control.

Sending a request or downloading the app does not give Tech Genie access. A connection begins only after you approve it while speaking with Tech Genie.

  1. 1Request a time and confirm the problem, price, and computer with Tech Genie.
  2. 2Sign in to your portal and review the permission checklist for this session.
  3. 3Open the app during the verified call and click Accept. Close the app when the work is done.

You remain in control

Watch the work and stop the session whenever you want.

You stay at the computer, see the session, and can end it at any time.

Close private apps first. Enter passwords, verification codes, and payment details yourself while screen sharing is paused.

Tech Genie asks before transferring files, using command-line tools, accessing camera or audio, changing input controls, printing remotely, restarting, or working at the lock screen.

Normal connections require you to click Accept. If the computer is locked, Tech Genie may use the temporary password only after you approve it on the verified call; it is never saved.

Session recording, permanent-password changes, trusted-device pairing, and hidden or unattended access stay disabled.

Closing the app ends the session. Tech Genie can help remove remaining Tech Genie Support components with your approval.

Resets, removals, security changes, purchases, and other disruptive work always require separate approval.

Stop if the contact was unexpected.

Tech Genie will never cold-call you and order a remote app install. We never ask you to move money, buy gift cards or cryptocurrency, reveal banking credentials, or disable security just to connect. Start the request yourself and download only from the official Tech Genie download page or your private signed-in portal.

Remote support is available.

Once your appointment is confirmed, sign in to your portal for the session instructions. Downloading the app alone never starts a connection.

Questions before you connect

Price, privacy, and what to expect.

What can remote computer support fix?

Remote help works well for Windows settings, slow-computer triage, printer and scanner workflows, suspicious popups, software problems, and some Wi-Fi adapter or connection issues. A computer that will not start or connect usually needs an on-site visit.

How much does remote support cost?

Remote support starts at $95. We confirm the problem and price before connecting. If the job needs more time or an on-site visit, we’ll discuss the options with you first.

How does the live session work?

After your appointment is confirmed, sign in to your private portal and review the permission checklist. Open the Tech Genie Support app while you are speaking with Tech Genie, approve the connection, and stay at the computer. You can end the session at any time.

Where do I download the support app?

Choose Windows or Mac below. Downloading the app does not start a session. Open it during your appointment and approve the connection when prompted.

What can the support app do during a session?

The app lets Tech Genie see your screen and use the keyboard and mouse while you watch. We ask before file transfers, restarts, command-line work, camera, audio, printing, or lock-screen access.

Does the support app leave anything behind?

Closing the app ends the live connection. We do not set a permanent password or unattended access. The app can remain installed for future support, or we can help remove it.

Do I need to run another diagnostic app first?

No. Start with the Tech Genie Support app shown below. If diagnostic checks would help, Tech Genie will explain them and ask for your approval first.

What should I never send?

Do not send passwords, recovery or MFA codes, Wi-Fi keys, payment details, private documents, camera footage, or sensitive screenshots. If sign-in is needed during service, pause sharing and type the credential yourself.
